Part I of the Book talks about the planning that needs to be done before your meeting. It will give you a logical explanation of When, Why, Where and How to plan to your meeting. The authors have also taken the pain of explaining the significance of Logistics and Graphic facilitation as well in this part of the book which is a must read.
Part II of the book teach you how to conduct your meetings and the techniques you can use that will make your meetings qualitative and quantitative. The book ends with the points that you should keep in mind while closing the meetings like taking the Action items, assigning tasks, summarizing the context, etc.
Make it a point that you go through the ‘Checklist’, ‘Recapitulative Summary ‘and ‘Test your Understanding ‘ sections which are there at the end of every chapter. This would enhance your knowledge and make you a successful professional.
About the Authors
Mary Munter is presently teaching management communications in Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. She had previously taught at Stanford Graduate School of Business and various other universities. Mary has been consulted with over 90 corporate clients and has written umpteen number of books and articles. She has used her years of experience while writing this book using real life examples that will make things simpler for you.
Dr Michael Netzley currently serves as the Academic Director of Executive Development at Singapore Management University (SMU). He joined SMU in 2002 and helped build the University’s Communications programme, teaching excellence initiative, and now it’s Executive Programmes. Dr Netzley is a recipient of the Champions Award for innovative teaching. His writing and teaching focus on corporate communication, leadership, and change management.
